A field station for serious growers

We specialize in making mature Heliamphora widely available in the US market. Unlike imported tissue culture plants, the plants you will buy from me are generally established, actively growing divisions that will not take years to grow to a decent size.

Plants are guaranteed to arrive alive and in reasonable condition. In this case, reasonable condition means that 75% of the plant is undamaged, and that damage does not threaten the health of the plant. For example, if the growth point of a nepenthes is broken off, that plant has a high likelihood of dying and that would qualify for a refund. A heliamphora that arrives with some damaged pitchers would not qualify for a refund, unless the main growth point of the plant was damaged.

To qualify for a refund under the Live Arrival Guarantee, contact service@dangerlettuce.com or DangerLettuce on Instagram/Facebook within 24 hours of the delivery time. Include photos of the package and plant showing the damage.

Since time in the mail can be stressful for the plants, returns are generally not accepted, except as described above.

I will make an attempt to accommodate all cancellation requests up until the time the printing label is created. Many orders are shipped same-day, so please contact us immediately (Instagram is best) if you need to make a change.

I am happy to accommodate reasonable delayed shipping requests. Ideally, please contact us before you make your purchase, but as with cancellations, I will make an attempt up until the time the shipping label is created.

Most of the year, plants are shipped within 2 business days. It can take longer to process orders following large sales, such as after Black Friday.

Cold/hot weather shipping — if temperatures dip below 20F in your area, or ours, shipping will be planned to avoid very cold temperatures, which could delay shipping by days or weeks. The live arrival guarantee does apply to these orders and a heat pack and insulation will be included when necessary. If temperatures are very cold for an extended duration, we will contact you to discuss options, or you can reach out to us via email or Instagram.

Live plants are sold in the US only and cannot be exported. Orders placed with a shipping address outside the US will be cancelled.

Data is collected for the sole purpose of processing purchases, such as mailing orders and providing order status updates. Marketing emails and inventory notifications are optional and can be disabled at any time. We use Stripe for payment processing and Google Firebase for data storage. Your data will never be sold or made available to third parties besides these two providers.
